Though I just saw a Monarch butterfly on this plant yesterday - today I noticed something had eaten holes in a few milkweed leaves I looked closer and someone had apparently laid a few eggs weeks ago, because one had hatched. Maybe the egg for this little caterpillar came pre-installed on the plant when I bought it! Excited.
